Tom and Cody's love for hunting. At the age of 31, I underwent a back surgery to correct a problem I had been dealing with from age 15. At the time of the surgery I had a 2 year old chocolate lab named Cody. He loved to hunt and I promised him if he helped me recover, I would take him to South Dakota to hunt pheasant every year. We went that fall with me in a back brace and every fall for the rest of his life. We even flew from Alaska to hunt pheasants in South Dakota. Ptarmigan hunting in Alaska with Cody, 1997.
